Jules Gilliam heeft derde zege op rij beet in België

De Amerikaan Jules Gilliam heeft zijn derde zege op rij beet. Opnieuw ging deze eerstejaars junior solo naar de overwinning in Bierbeek.

"There were many attacks within the first 2 laps, but 6 of us eventually edged away to form the break. We worked well together to increase our time gap, so hard in fact that one of the riders popped. Then the 5 of us left in the break continued our steady lead until we saw 1 lap to go, in which Tom and Jerry attacks ensued. I attacked into the headwind on the backside hill at 2 km to go, gaining a sizable gap before the right turn into the tailwind. And bam, I  jammed it to the line from there, finishing solo and holding off the other riders." : tell Jules.
