41 juniores vertrokken voor 81.6 km in Oetingen. De Australiër Harry Sweeny ging solo naar de zege met een voorsprong van 1min 24 seconden. Harry rijdt voor het Vlaamse Spie Douterloigne tijdens zijn verblijf in België.
"The start of the race was not as hectic as usual, however as the race was very short everyone was keen to get in the move. I tried 5 or more times to get in or create a move but nothing stuck. After coming through 2 laps to go, 2 7men were up the road with approx 30 seconds. I attacked with one other riders and we caught the group just after the climb (500m after finishline). None of the riders we caught were happy to work so as we turned into the cross wind I attacked and rode solo to the finish. My final gap was over 1 minute to the peloton. Quite happy with how my legs are coming along after Tour des Portes du Pays (where I lost gc in the TTT). Looking forward to Tour of Axel."tell Harry.
