In het Limburgse Heers verschenen gisteren 51 junioren aan de start voor 12 ronden van 6,8 kilometer. De overwinning ging naar de Amerikaan Ian Garrison. Voor de eerstejaars junior is het zijn derde zege van het seizoen. Ian zal tot 17 augustus in ons land verblijven.
"I followed an attack by the USA national champ at 10 laps to go. We were able to keep that gap until 5 laps to go, when a another American and a Belgian rider bridged up to us. We all worked together until one lap to go, where after multiple attacks from the other guys, I was able to get a solo gap with about 1k left. The other American caught up to me, but I then got him in the sprint.": tell Ian.
