De Ier Adam Kelly won afgelopen zondag de wedstrijd in Heultje. Hij kwam samen over de meet met zijn ploeggenoot Jenson Brown. Pieter Van Laer was eerste Belg op plaats 3.
"The race was quite aggressive from the start. After about 45 minutes a break of 12 riders formed Project 1 being the most represented with 3 riders. Everyone worked well together and after a couple of laps opened up a gap of over a minute. With 25km I attacked solo after some riders started not to work in the break. I was away for just under a lap when team mate Jenson Brown came across to me and we manage to extend our gap to nearly a minute over the last 3 laps where we crossed the line together to take a 1-2 for Project 1. In the group behind we had Thomas Mein marking the moves in what was left of the break coming in 8th." : tell Adam.
